Humble Beginnings
Our Story
Bristol Website Design was founded from a lifelong passion for technology and creating websites. Our founder Paul Titmuss first discovered coding back in 1987 while still in school. He taught himself 6502 assembler language and BASIC, spending hours creating simple computer applications and games – sparking a passion for the craft.
Later in the 1990s, Paul began learning early web languages and creating basic website designs for friends’ businesses. Though humble by today’s standards, Paul fell in love with the then-new frontier of web design. He slowly grew his client roster through word-of-mouth while keeping his day job.
Over the following decade, demand for Paul’s web services expanded exponentially as more businesses moved online. Motivated by the ability to help companies from all backgrounds strengthen their web presence, Paul made the leap to running his web design hustle full-time in the 2000s.
Our Agency
Today, Paul leads a small but very capable team of designers, developers and writers – serving clients across the UK as well as internationally in the US, Middle East and Australia. While technology has changed tremendously, the mission remains the same – creating custom websites for each client that effectively promote their business and get results. Paul’s lifelong passion drives Bristol Website Design’s commitment to understanding each business we work with and delivering tailored solutions that help them grow for years to come.
Community work
Paul has been working closely with Bridgwater & Taunton College over the last few years and is committed to nurturing the talents of local students. Since 2024, Bristol Website Design Ltd has taken 8 students through their work placements, 2 of whom now work as permanent employees of the company.

We take a customised approach to every project based on our clients’ needs, but most website design engagements follow this general process

We schedule an initial call to discuss your business goals, challenges, target audience and vision for your website. This discovery phase is crucial for us to set the project up for success.

Proposal
We then take the information from the discovery call to develop a detailed project proposal outlining our recommended solutions, features, timeline and investment breakdown.
Step 3
Development
We build out a secure, optimised WordPress site with your approved design, configuring all necessary plugins and functionality. You’ll have periodic access for review and testing.
Step 4
Quality Check
Before launch, we thoroughly test for issues, cross-browser/mobile compatibility, speed and more, making sure your investment is sound and ready to be used across the web!
Step 5
Launch!
We officially migrate your new site live! After, we provide ongoing support, maintenance and optimisation as retainer clients to ensure that no matter what, your site is looking perfect!
